Guided tours

Access to the poet's home is by guided tour only, and we offer tours several times daily during the summer season, and on weekends in September.

We recommend joining a guided tour when visiting Aulestad. This gives you the opportunity to step inside the author’s home and explore it together with one of our knowledgeable guides. The house is preserved as if the Bjørnson family has just stepped out for a moment, with colourful rooms and fascinating objects to discover.
